Roads to the Past: Open Day and Project Launch

Thornton le Street History Group are launching their Heritage Lottery funded archaeology and history project with an open day at TLS village hall on

Saturday 18th February between  10.00 and 4.00

Anyone interested in participating or finding out more is invited to come along, see what is involved and register their interest.

Vietnamese Evening

TLS PG group invite you to a Vietnamese Evening at TLS Village Hall on

Friday 17th March at 7.30pm

Veronica Piekosz will deliver a presentation about her recent trip to Vietnam and the Fair Trade programme.

Fair Trade goods will be on sale and a Vietnamese Supper will be included.

Tickets cost £9.50 per person.

All proceeds will go towards the St Leonard's Church Roof Replacement Fund.

Stained Glass Workshops


Stained Glass workshops are being held in York on

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017

These are being led by Helen Whittaker of Barley Studios in York. You can read more about Helen on her website here.

We are hoping to get permission from the diocese to install a new window in St Leonard's Church, made by the people of the parish, with help from Helen.

Friendship Lunch @ TLS

TLS Friendship Lunches take place in the village hall on the last Wednesday of each month.
The next Friendship Lunch will take place on:

Wednesday 22nd February from 12 noon until 1.30pm

The cost of £5.00 per person provides a bowl of home-made soup with a bread bun, a home-made pudding and cheese and biscuits served with tea or coffee.

All proceeds from the lunches will go to St Leonard's Church funds.

Thank you to all who have supported the lunches so far.
