His name was William Sanderson and he was a Game Watcher. At least 3 of his children were born in the village according to the census. He had moved by the 1911 Census. His father was a Game Keeper in nearby Newsham by Breckenbrough.Lallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12688000537733973102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080903600165057379.post-17415435678699996562012-12-18T13:36:57.266+00:002012-12-18T13:36:57.266+00:00Hi Rob,

I have always wanted to see the village for myself and it has taken me about 20 years to get there. We took some lovely pictures of the church, and of the village name road sign (with me beside it of course)
The reason for this and this message is to introduce my self - as I own the title of The Lord of The Manor of Thornton le Street.
Even though I didn't have anything to do with the Village I now will be able to keep up with the things that go on.
I come from Edinburgh and don't get down to England that much, so the web site is a great way to keep uptodate.
I would like to wish you and all the villagers a wonderful Christmas and great new year.
Best regards,
Norman LaidlawAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13250909338059610020noreply@blogger.com
